Ed is a Miami native. After earning an accounting degree from the University of Florida, he passed the CPA exam and went to work for the Internal Revenue Service as a Revenue Agent. During his five years with the IRS, he put himself through the University of Miami School of Law as a night student. Although he practiced as a CPA for two years, since 1974 he has been applying his knowledge of finance, business and taxation exclusively to the practice of law.

Ed divides his time between South Miami, Key West and the Okeechobee area, where the firm represents real estate developers and agribusiness entrepreneurs. His practice area is focused on the representation of clients before the civil and criminal divisions of the IRS, including the U.S. Court of Appeals and U.S. Tax Court. He also represents clients before the Florida Department of Revenue, and regularly handles probate matters as well as estate planning and administration.

Ed resides in Coral Gables with his wife, Cheryl, a former school teacher.
